Senator George Allen and Dr. Lloyd Hildebrand review Inoveon's
retinal imaging technology

Oklahoma City, April 15, 2005 - A leading congressional proponent of biotech and nanotechnology research toured Inoveon today as part of a visit to the Presbyterian Health Foundation Research Park. Virginia Senator George Allen, chairman and founder of the Congressional Nanotechnology Caucus, was accompanied on the tour by Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe who hosted a luncheon for Allen prior to the tour at the Presbyterian Health Foundation. Allen was governor of Virginia from 1994-1998 and is the son of the late Washington Redskins Head Coach George Allen.

The Senators and other community leaders toured three expanding Oklahoma companies with a national profile - Inoveon, an industry leader in the detection, staging and monitoring of diabetic retinopathy; InterGenetics, a genetic cancer risk intervention company; and Cytovance, a biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing company.

"The type of research and work being done within these companies and the entire research parkway is extremely important," Allen said. "As a biotech and nanotech proponent, it's gratifying to witness the growth underway throughout these disciplines nationwide, and Oklahoma City and the Presbyterian Health Foundation Research Park certainly appear to be taking a back seat to no one. The facilities and entire complex is very impressive and I commend not only the biotech and nanotech company executives and staff, but the leadership of the Presbyterian Health Foundation for their understanding of the importance of this technology and their commitment to these scientists and research professionals."

"These outstanding Oklahoma biotech companies have each identified a unique niche in the biotech market and have chosen Oklahoma City as a strategic location to expand their business (distribution) to a national platform," said Presbyterian Health Foundation President Mike Anderson. "We are pleased the Research Park received the attention of such an influential national leader in the biotech and nanotech arena as Senator Allen."
